Trip to Pangkor Island & Stay at Pangkor Island Beach Resort

Ever been to Pangkor Island before ?

The above picture was taken in Pangkor Island Beach Resort. It is one of the best resort in Pangkor Island. Located between Penang and Kuala Lumpur, the journey from the country's capital takes only about 3 hours to the coastal town of Lumut, either by car or limousine coach, the scenic landscape is an experience by itself.

Make sure you've done your reservation and check the ferry schedule which is up to date before arriving at the jetty heading to your destination.

If you drive, you could park your car in a parking lot where there's security guarding.
Car Parking Rate: First hour - RM0.80, Subsequent hour - RM0.40
**Eg. 4D3N - approximately RM6 per day

From Lumut (a name for a jetty), you need to take approximately 30mins ferry journey to the resort's private jetty. It is best to reach the jetty half an hour before departure time to get your seats.

Here's the counter for you to buy ferry tickets to Pangkor Island Beach Resort.
Return Ferry Fare:
Adult - RM19, Child - RM13

After you bought your tickets, you'll be given luggage tags depending on how many luggage you have to write your name and tie it up on your luggage. This is to help you to identify your luggage when you reach the hotel.

Look !! Our ferry has arrived !!! See this strong man in red shirt ? They are the ones who will gather everyone's luggage and put it in the ferry. When reach destination, a lorry will come to take all luggage to the resort and you will identify them through luggage tag.

See.. that is how they put our luggage there without falling into the sea... real COOL !! ^_^

Hahaha.. nice view from the ferry leaving the jetty after the heavy rain.

The seats in the ferry. Quite comfortable with strong air-conditional.

Other seats in the ferry... You could go through the door there after the man in the yellow shirt to take in the deep breathe of the cold wind =)
ALOHA !!!! We had reached the jetty of Pangkor Island Beach Resort !!!!!!!

Many people walking out from the jetty to take the resort's shuttle bus heading into the resort.
See the seats on the left, it's for people who are waiting for shuttle bus and people who are waiting for the next ferry to arrive.
A beautiful scenery for you to look at =)
ARRIVEEEEEEE  :D

Up we go onto the Pangkor Island Beach Resort Shuttle Bus......

When you reach the lobby, there are "Hawaii Singers" playing music welcoming guest and on the other side, there's welcome drinks for you to keep away your thirst.

If you want to go to town, inform the receptionist at the reception counter, they will call a taxi for you. At town, the driver will stop at a place shown in the picture below. Leaving town, you may go there to look for taxi as well, as normally driver who stop there will hardly increase the price very high comparing to other places that park lots of taxi.

Nevertheless, still gotta be careful with the price. As I was informed  by the man in the resort, one taxi normally charge 4pax a total of RM20. If addition of one person, will need to pay additional RM2 from hotel to town (one-way fare).

A narrow raod from resort to town
Pangkor Island is very famous for "batik" - a silk cloth for ladies to wear on the seaside. There are many t-shirts and pants as well for ladies & men, adults & children, sea-shells and many more.
(*Remember to always bargain for price as low as possible*)

As for local food, many tourist will buy anchovies, squid and fish which had being dried and packed nicely for tourist to buy and cook with their own recipes.

AH - HAAAA ~~~ This is the shop I strongly recommend.... Chop Hai Li.. Those were fresh and good !!

See the lady in red shirt ? She's the BOSS of this shop.... :D
Price here are quite reasonable from RM10 onwards.. depending on what sort of things you buy here.. If you buy more, she will offer you discount rate ^_^

Feel thirsty or wanna eat some snack ? Well, there is not much restaurant in town. This shop below is an old shop here for many many years.....

Roti bakar(Toasted bread with kaya and butter - 3 set) - RM6.00
Teh Ais (Ice Milk Tea) - RM1.50
Kopi Ais (Ice Coffee) - RM2.00

Here we go... back to the resort again.. Looking at the beautiful sunset  :D
